AMCMS Counseling: Duke Talent Search
The Duke Talent Search or the Duke Talent Identification Program (TIP) identifies academically talented students. These students are identified in August/September for this program.
Who can participate?
Students must meet the following criteria : 1) be in the 7th grade 2) have scored at the 95th percentile or higher on an acceptable subtest of a grade-level achievement or approved state criterion-referenced test.
Applications for students who qualify for the Duke Talent Search will be mailed for AMCMS students during the first week in September.
Many tests can be used to identify students that are eligible for the Duke Talent Search. Please contact the counselors office if you think your student should qualify but have not received information by September 7, 2018

What if my student did not qualify for Duke talent Search but I am still interested in having them participate?
The Talent Identification Program welcome students who wish to join the Duke TIP even if they are not able to participate in the annual 7th grade Talent Search. This independent registration method is called TIP OPTION. For additional informaiton, click here.
